Office Professional 2003 Trial

J

John Hewlett

I don't want to upgrade to "Office 2003" BUT

I can't use any function since all I get is "Invalid
Product Code"

AND "that function is locked" so I can't edit any of my
files.

How do I correct this typical Microsoft blackmail ? since
I'm impecunious not a criminal hacker.

If you wish to upgrade to Office 2003, then you will need to have ALL of the
following currently available to you (or installed):

- a previous version of Microsoft Office (NOT a trial), see Upgrade
Eligibility below
- a Microsoft Office 2003 Upgrade CD WITH Product Key (CD MUST be labeled as
"UPGRADE")

If you have only 1 of OR you DO NOT have any of the items listed above, I'd
assume that you either received a pirated copy OR a trial version of
Microsoft Office 2003 that has expired.

If this is the case, there is nothing that you can do except to go out and
purchase an Office 2003 Upgrade CD and check your computer for a previous
version of Microsoft Office (again, see below for Upgrade Eligibility).

It is normal for Microsoft Office 2003 Trial to expire after 30 days and
reduce functionality.
See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=827291 for more
information.
