Office program has not been installed for the current user.

Last Friday, one of our users started having a problem while using his Dell
laptop. When he tries to start any Office XP program, he gets the following
error message:

Office program has not been installed for the current user. Please run setup
to install the application.
where Office program is the Office XP program that you started.

The laptop is running Windows XP. The user has administrative permission.
The weird thing is that I can log into the Laptop as ANY other user and it
works fine.

I tried killing the users profile...no dice. I tried removing and then
re-installing Office XP...no dice.

Does anyone have any ideas?
