I've recently been trying to install personal web server
but keep getting 2 error messages when running setup which
say;
"An unknown error occurred while making MTS specific
changes to the system registry Error code = 0x80004005"
then I click the OK button and another error appears
stating;
"Setup of transaction server core components failed. The
specific error code is 0xFEE670.Setup will continue but
the component may not function properly."
I then decided as I had installed Office first that it
might be best if I uninstalled this and try again thinking
that I maybe should have had PWS installed first as I plan
to use Access as the database and by this time was
clutching at straws.
When I uninstalled Office 2000 and then tried to install
PWS I got the same error messages as before so I decided
to give up and just reinstall Office but now I find I
can't do this either as it locks up when trying to install.
Can anyone help?
I also have uninstalled Office without backing up my
contacts and inbox in Outlook. Is their anyway I can still
access these emails and transfer them into Outlook express
temporarily whilst I sought out the problem as some of
them are quite important/urgent. All help welcome. Thanks
