office works 7.0 PRODUCT ID NOT ACCEPTED IN REGISTRATION

Paula

I have tried several times to register Microsoft Works 7.0. After signing in
and filling the form, an error message is received that sez "please enter
valid product id #". Here is the product ID I'm trying to register. It is
copied from Help/about microsoft works: 69406-OEM-0400003-00000
The example given in the form has 3 numbers in place of the OEM that is in
my product ID. I want to register this product to receive updates
automatically. Tell me what I can do... (and be nice...lol)

AFAIK you don't need to register to get updates; I don't use Works, so I'm
not even sure is MS offer updates; if they do, they won't be sent to you,
you will have to retrieve them from MS. If anyone does send you an update,
delete it!

Hi, Paula,

You might also post to a Works newsgroup to find gurus there who can help
with that program.

1) This is an *OFFICE* group. Works is *NOT* Office.
2) TTBOMK as OEM licences do not quailfy for assistance therefore you
don't qualify for anything.
