Office XP and 'Send To' (Direct Document Emailing)

I have a customer that is using Office XP in a Thin Client environment.
Recently a few users have been having problems using the 'Send To' function
within Word and Excel. Whenever they use this feature the email goes into the
Outbox in Outlook and will not send until you hit Send/Receive a few times. I
was hoping someone had run into this problem before and could help me out.
