Hey all,
I am seeing a strange issue at one of my clients locations.
Last week on one of the users laptops (Windows XP Pro) there was an
installation on Office XP and everything was working fine. I got a call
saying that Office had disappeared. I looked at the machine and found that
Office had become uninstalled. Re-installed Office and all service packs.
Two hours later Office had been removed again. Again performed a re-install
and updates. Again Office disappeared. At this point, I formatted the whole
computer and re-installed everything. Once again, two hours later Office
disappeared.
I resolved this by installing Office 2003.
Now, three other computers are experiencing the exact same issues. For
budget reasons, installing Office 2003 is not feasible at the moment, nor
does it explain what is going on.
Any thoughts?
