Office XP Pro Installation Issues

I installed Office Pro and all went well until I double-
clicked the Microsoft Office icon in the start up menu
under programs. However after I had clicked it, it
disappeared. I cannot locate it nor the icon for the
shortcut. I do not know how to create a new shortcut to
get to the entire program. Do I need to re-install it?
