Office XP Problems

I installed Office XP Professional on my XP home edition
Dell PC about 1 month ago and about a week later I
started having problems. Every time I load one of the
Microsoft applications the windows installer box opens
and it says preparing to install components. In
accordance, when I try to use certain options in office
like documentor, or the import/export option in Access or
excel the application freezes and the program shuts
down.

What I have tried:
Repair and Reinstalling the program
Detect and repair within the application
Norton System Works

Nothing has worked.

Anyone have know whats wrong or have any suggestions?

Were you logged on as Administrator when you installed Office? Did you make
it available to all users or just the current user?

By administrator you mean my name and settings then yes.
It it is available to all users.

No, I am talking about your Windows Logon profile. Is it administrator, or
a user?
