Office XP reinstall

Is there a limit to the number of times that this program can be
installed. I restored my machine recently and when reloading Office XP
several of the programs have failed to install correctly or installed,
but don't operate correctly. Noticed it first in Outlook, program
failed to make connection to hotmail server, or connection made but
unable to open. Later checked Word and it was unable to open new file.
Hate to have to buy new program to replace.

Any help would be appreciated, TIA.
