Can i some how install office 2000 on my new computer
since my old one blew up? I have the disk, I just wonder
about whether microsoft will let me do it. It currently
will let me open it 50 times before I register the product.

The new rules are that you are allowed to use the software 50 times
after which you have to buy a new license from Microsoft. The revenues
of MS are below expectations and so usage has to be restricted to boost
up the profits.
