if you have previously installed office 97, the key will
be in the depths of the registry..if it's an OEM version
( came with your PC, look for an OEM string. If it's a
retail version, you are pretty much going to have to call
MS and provide proof of ownership. One of the MVP's will
be along with all the usual links, or look for them
yourself )
What it is?! Every edition of 97 had a unique key - it would be a bit daft
of MS to issue one universal one. If it came with your system then contact
the manufacturer/vendor, if it was retail then you're stuck as, TTBOMK, MS
has ceased all support for 97 - or will do when Office 2003 is universally
available (though I think it may already be available).
