OK to install publisher 2007 with Office 2003?

Andrew

I have the Gateway OEM Office 2003 (Word, Excel, Outlook) on my Gateway
desktop running XP Home. I'd like to install and use Microsoft Publisher
2007 (assuming I can no longer buy/order Publisher 2003) on my computer. I
assume I can get a copy of JUST Publisher 2007 - will this install and
execute correctly without messing up the other components of 2003?

(before anyine asks, I don't wish to upgrade to other 2007 components until
I also install 2007 on my work PC so that I am not dealing wth multiple
versions of the WORD, OUTLOOK, EXCEL etc. apps at the same time...)

TIA!

Yes, you can but what you probably will not be able to do is to use the Send
to feature with Outlook. We generally don't recommend doing that anyway
so...

Enjoy.

He doesn't have any version of Publisher on his system.

If you choose to do a custom install, you can elect to keep 2003 and run
both versions. Just watch for the option of overwriting or replacing 2003
when you install, and elect to keep 2003. This may also minimize the
possibility of causing problems with the rest of Office 2003.
