I have a small network. I'm using a router to be a
firewall & DHCP. Most of the family uses comcast web
mail. I have XP Pro (I have not installed SP2) and I
recently installed Office 2003. I can get to the internet
just fine but after setting up a new account in Outlook
when I pressed the "test this account" button the first
error message is that Outlook can not detect an internet
connection. I went through the "more options" and made
sure it is set to a LAN and not a dial up or third party
dial up setting. What else can I do to tell Outlook that
I really do have an internet connection?
Thanks for your help!
