D
Dad here
I’m running XP Home with all updates / service packs applied. I’ve jus
upgraded from Office 2000 - Small Business to Office 2003 Professiona
and have applied all updates. The computer is connected to Comcas
(broadband) through a router for home networking. The machine i
configured for 4 individuals/logon profiles (me, wife, 2 kids). Al
functionality of Outlook works for all users except me.
Outlook indicates that my email d/ls from the server but it fails t
appear in any folder (log file at end of post). After searching thi
forum and other sources, I have implemented/tried all of th
following:
(1) Turned off incoming/outgoing email anti-virus software,
(2) no software firewall,
(3) no rules in effect,
(4) inbox view is messages / unfiltered,
(5) deleted email account and created new - not change,
(6) deleted mail profile and created new – not change,
(7) moved pst file to force creation of new file,
(8) copied pst from another user,
(9) ran the pst scan/repair utility,
(10) uninstall and reinstall entire Office suite.
All users continue to receive mail into inbox except me. Email simpl
disappears. I have configured Outlook to leave a message copy on th
server and I am able to access it through the web application.
The one anomaly I see between my experience and other users is wit
respect to the Outlook Today screen. All other users can view withou
problem. I receive an IE script error – module could not be found
line 298. I have attempted to search for this, but have come up empty.
Please, any help or suggestions?
Best regards,
Dave
Edit: Problem solved. I created a new XP user profile on my computer
entered the required information for OL to make a connection and wa
able to retrieve my email. The XP user profile must have been corrupte
some how.
