OL2003 retrieves sames messages over and over again

I just upgraded from OL2K to 2003.
I pull my mail from a comcast pop server.
Each time I do a send/receieve it pulls the same messages even if I had read
them.
I have my settings set to leave messages on server for 2 days in case I need
to see them from the web client when I am not hom.
OL2K never did this.
Am I missing something...at this rate I will have like 10 copies of each
message in my inbox.

Can you turn on diagnostic logging (see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q300479) and post
the OPMLog.log file (preferably as an attachment) after you've done a few
send/receives in which you received duplicates?

I activated the logging option but cant seem to locate the opmlog.log file
This is a serious flaw in outlook if it cannot determine which emails it has
already downloaded off the server

The OPMLog.log file may be a hidden file - set your search to include hidden
files. Outlook generally knows well which messages it has downloaded and
which not - I use this feature all the time. The question is what is going
wrong on your system.
