Bryan

I have been trying to create the master\sub plan using the 'Paste Speacial'
command
When I go to paste the link, I'm getting 'OLE Paste operation cannot be
completed' error message.
I don't get the error if I cope the whole project onto a blank form

what can I do to stop this?
Thanks for your help

Thank you
I'm trying to create a master plan that you don't see all the other tasks,
and only certain milestones. Therefore I can't copy it that way
If I try and do that with the origanal plan I get the OLE error.
When I copy and paste the plan on to a new project. Then copy and paste
special I get it will work.
I want to do the paste special without having to copy the project on to a
new project plan

Thanks for your help

Hi Bryan,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Master projects are usually created by the Insert/Project command, or from
the Window menu. If you are after a task with sub-tasks plan, then create
the tasks and indent the sub-tasks. Tell us more if this doesn't apply.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

If you create a "normal" master you can always use the milestone filter to
show just milestones. If you want other tasks also, use a Flag field, set
the appropriate tasks and miltstones to Yes and the filter on that.
