one click option not working, goes without click

When i choose the one click option in custom animations, the slide, while
playing, does wait for me to click. Why does it just keep going without my
click?

Do you mean animations still occur on the slide, or are you saying the
slides advance?

Looks like you might have auto transition set. Go to Slide Show > Slide
Transition. Then look to see if you have the "Automatically After" box
checked.
