one client cannot sent to another

I have a client that cannot receive mail from another client. I have a user that sets up mail folder for every one that sends him mail. On one certain folder he cannot receive mail from this one indivdual. I have checked both machines and there are not filters applied. I have setup the rule for this folder but yet no mail goes to it or the inbox from this person. He can get mail from everyone else but not this person. The person who is trying to send him mail does have read receipt marked. So everything she sends to him comes back unread. She can send to anyone else just not him. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. thanks.

I forgot to add that both clients are outlook 2000 and we are running exhange 5.5
