One Note 2007 to One Note 2007 Mobile?

Hi,

Just installed One Note on my Vista Ultimate laptop and my ATT Tilt.
I sent an Outlook e-mail to One Note and when I synched my Tilt with the
laptop via WMDC 6.1,
it didn't show up on my phone. How do you synch/send One Note notes to One
Note Mobile?

Jeff,

I sync my Blackjack to ON07 using Microsoft ActiveSync software at work
(because they run WinXP) But at home I use Windows Mobile Device Center for
my V.Ultimate laptop. You can find both products at the link below. Just be
sure that once you have the program installed, the Onenote Mobile is selected
in the sync options in ActiveSync or in WMDC.

I hope this helps!

Thx,

I already have WMDC 6.1 and checked to make sure that the ON07 box for
synch is checked.
Still not sending the Outlook ON I made to the phone. It is titled
"Untitled" and is not in the One Note Mobile folder.
Do I need to put it in the ON Mobile folder?

Jeff,
Any info you want synced to your phone needs to be placed in the ON Mobile
folder in OneNote on your PC. All new items in the folder will ne transfered
to your phone... and vice versa. If you haven't tried this yet and everything
is installed correctly, it should work now (hopefully).

Tried that.
Still not synching. I have no clue as to the problem. On the phone, the ON
box is checked but greyed out, it won't let me uncheck it. Going to delete
the synch partnership and start over.

Well,

Re-set-up the synch partnership. Re-installed ON Mobile and put notebooks in
the ON Mobile folder on the pc and notes don't synch. Whatever is on the pc
stays there and whatever is on the phone stays there, and even reappears
after I delete it (the "Getting Started" guide). No clue as to why this
isn't working.

Hi,

I can synch from device to pc it won't synch from pc to device.
I'm at a loss.

Only the single Section file found in the OneNote Mobile Notebook will be
synced to the phone/device. You may be getting confused by expecting a
larger unit of data (a whole Notebook or folder's worth of data) to be able
to be synced to the phone/device.

Is there more than one Notebook called "OneNote Mobile" in your ON
Notebooks list? If so, one or more may have been created with each new
attempt at redoing the setup. So try this:
1) ensure that the most recent attempt at setup is completed.
2) create a new note in OneNote Mobile on your device, and type in a bogus
word you do not normally use.
3) sync the device. Ensure that WMDC reports a successful sync.
4) search within OneNote for that bogus word. Be sure to search in "All
Notebooks". You may also need to wait a bit to ensure that the WDS index
is up to date.
5) If OneNote is able to find that bogus word, then the Notebook where that
word was found is the true ONM notebook. The single section inside of that
Notebook is where future content should be placed in order for WMDC to sync
to the device. The other "OneNote Mobile" Notebooks can be Closed.

Just an FYI. I just had a typical event where WMDC decided it had never
heard of any of my devices before. I re-established the partnership and what
OneNote did was add a second section in the OneNote Mobile Notebook. The
original was Tilt and the 'new' one labeled Tilt(2).
