Onenote 2007 - Exponential memory usage problem

I have a Toshiba Tablet and love using Onenote for classes, but I wish
Microsoft would fix this ridiculous memory issue. If I am doing a lot
of drawing, copying, and pasting within Onenote the memory eventually
increases way too high and slows down the computer, and the only way
to fix it is to close and reopen the program. I am usually using up
700-800 MB of memory after starting Onenote and it eventually will
ramp up to 1.5 GB or more. This problem has persisted since Onenote
2003 all the way to 2007 (with SP1 installed).

Are there any fixes for this issue? Is Microsoft aware and trying to
fix it? It really makes my productivity go way down when I have to
restart the program every 10-30 minutes.

Do you have a lot of embedded video and audio files? If so, try clicking
tools \ options \ Audio and Video and disable searching for words in audio
and video files. See if that makes a difference.

If so, then disable it while using the computer, then enable it and let
OneNote build its index (which may take a long time) when the computer would
otherwise be idle.
