Sending from PDF to onenote 2007 causes system seizing and crashin

I own a student license of microsoft office enterprise 2007 with onenote
2007. I run it on a lenovo x61 tablet pc running a core 2 duo L7500 1.6 GHz,
2 GB RAM, 100 GB 7200 rpm hard drive on 32-bit vista. The problem that I am
having is printing PDFs to onenote 2007. Certain PDFs (they tend to be
picture heavy, though the actual PDF is only 1-5 MB in size), especially
those with colored backgrounds, take FOREVER to send to onenote, if they send
at all. Usually I'll get about 2/3rd of the pages sent when the computer
just seems to freeze up (these are 70 pg PDFs). If I send them in 30 pg
increments it seems to work fine, I just have to copy and paste it into one
notebook page (which is a pain). I was wondering if my virtual memory is the
problem because I only have about 6.3 GB left on the hard drive, or if there
is some other reason why things aren't working? I also thought about
printing the PDF to onenote at a lower resolution, but I don't seem to have
that option in the print menu. Any suggestions, or anyone else have this
problem?
