OneNote Organization within Outlook?

OK, I love being able to send msgs, calendar details and such into OneNote,
but to be honest, my LIFE is organized around Outlook (thank you very much
institutional calendaring) and sometimes OneNote isn't as integrated into
that world as I would like.

I do have a suggestion/question in that regard: Is there a way (if not this
would be my wishful suggestion) to link OneNote pages or sections with
specific calendar events in Outlook?

My typical meeting routine involves looking at my Outlook calendar, and
opening OneNote, sending meeting details to OneNote, taking notes in OneNote
and possibly emailing those out to attendees. Problem is, when I go back a
week later to find those notes, I have to search through OneNote (albeit this
has gotten easier) to find the notes.

What would be ideal would be for me to some how associate the OneNote notes
I created with my outlook calendar entry so that I could go back and find
notes associated with that meeting. Thoughts?

I second this idea. Sending stuff to OneNote is great, but sending a ON link
to Outlook would be far better for me. Maybe with this new
internal-hyperlink version this can work? I am Outlook-centric, using ON as
sort of a semi-detached appendage. I will remain Outlook-centric but would
like ON to be an attached appendage.

I also agree with this. I have been taking meeting notes by opening the
outlook item and hitting meeting notes. After I take the notes and close the
outlook item, there is not icon or link to the onenote section in the notes
section of the message telling me I took notes on this meeting. I can hit
the meeting notes button and it takes me to the onenote item, but often times
when I am reviewing my calendar, I do not remember if I took notes on that
meeting or not. A symbol on the calendar would be the easiest way or ever
better would be to have a link symbol (like what is done when an outlook task
is made in onenote) or ever better would be to have a copy of the onenote
meeting notes section in the outlook meeting window under the notes section.
Thanks.

Although it's not (yet) integrated in Outlook, I created an "outlook-like"
calendar that is free for download at www.einsteintech.net that shows your
OneNote note pages in a familiar calendar format. Unfortunately, this won't
display your notes alongside your Outlook appointments but that is the
direction I'm going with it eventually.
