open and save documents via webserver from a database

Hello

1.I want to know if it is possible to open documents from a database via webserver
in an application like MS Word or Adobe Acrobat

2.To edit the document in the application and to save it back out of the applicatio
via webserver to the database

Can anyone give me an answer or hint
