open documents

Hello. Hope everyone is making this a great day. I am having a problem opening my documents in Word. I can see the documents there but when I try to open a document I am getting a box saying "Unable to read file" or mostly that the document "is not available." Any help will be very much appreciated. How can I fix that problem? Thank-you for your assistance. Randy

Disable the Office Plug-in in Norton AntiVirus.
