I created a backup copy of my pst and copied it to disk,
I ad to format my computer, and now when I try to open
the pst file it gives me an error: "The file <filename>
is not a personal folders file". However the extension
is listed as a pst file, so I'm confused. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Watch for the following things:
1. take care you have the rights to write to the file, you must have the
rights to change the file.
2. The archivebit is away (Windows Explorer ; properties no sign in the
archive.
3. Copy the PST-file to your HD because on a CD the archivebit is alway on.
