Opening a .pub file

I received a .pub file as an attachment in a email. I dont believe I have
the right program to open it. Is there a simple way or download to open, or
basically How do I open it before I request it to be sent in a different
format?

That would be a Microsoft Publisher file. I'm not aware of any program other
than Publisher that can open these files, but you could try asking in a
Publisher newsgroup.
