opening files

I am currently using publisher 98. Is there a patch and/or update that will
allow me to open a publisher file made in a later version of the program.
Whenever I try to open one it says cannot open files from another version. I
have had no luck finding a patch to correct the problem.

That's because there is none.

Upgrade to Publisher 2002 or 2003, or have the sender of the file Save As
Publisher 98.

There is no viewer or patch. Your senders can save as a Publisher 98 document, some
formatting will be lost, especially WordArt.
