opening tif file attachments

I get TIF file attachments using Outlook and I cannot open them using Office
Document Imaging. I have office pro installed. I can open tif files alredy
saved to a folder but not the ones emailed even if I save them to a folder. I
cannot change the file type to open them either. Wndows 2000 will open them
with the Kodak image software but I have XP on this computer. Any suggestions?

Thanks Bob. I have tried everything on this computer to open them. Document
Imaging is the only thing that will try, but I only get a black or gray page,
I think I forgot to mention that in the original comment. I will go that
irfanview and give it a try.

Hi Sact,

It can depend on the TIF file format. 48 bit TIFF files, for example weren't supported in MS Office document imaging. If you right
click on the .TIF file in Windows Explorer and choose 'open with' is the Windows XP 'Picture and Fax viewer' listed?
Can you open these in a program such as http://irfanview.com ?
