Opening word 2003

When i open a word file, the following error box appears. "The command
cannot be performed a dialog box is open. Click ok, then close open dialog
boxes to continue"

How do i prevent this form happening?

If you are running Norton AntiVirus, disable its Office Plug-in.

I too, was having trouble with the "dialog box open" message upon opening a
Word document. Your fix did the trick! I would never have thought of that.
