opening word2003 wordml format documents in word2002

hi,

we have documents created in word 2003 xml format (WORDML). now when i try
to open these documents in office word 2002 it doesn't recoganize it.

so how can i make office word2002 compatable to word 2003 wordml format
documents, is there any patch i need to install ?

No, there's nothing you can install to change this. There was no file
converter for Word 2003 XML released that allows earlier versions of Word to
open these files (although Word 2007 can).

If the Compatibility Pack for Word 2007 were installed on all 2003 and 2002
machines, then these files saved in the Word 2007 OpenXML file format, Word
2002 could open them.
