Order of resources in shared resource pool file

We enter resources to the shared resource pool file as we need them but this
means they are not in alphabetical order which the project managers prefer.
Is there a way to re-order them?

Could I export them to Excel, reorder them there, delete them from the
shared file and then import them back to the shared file? Would this work?

Hi wacntn,

View the resource sheet in the pool file. Choose Project > Sort > Sort by.
In the Sort dialog box, sort by Name and click the Permanently renumber
resources check box. Click OK.

You will need to re-sort when you add new resources.
