Other projects and commitments

we are running a script in our own mpp template..we are encoutering issue when we try to open a saved/published plan in PWA already..the plan opened from office project always add the "Other projects and commitments" in the Resource Usage view. how can we prevent this from happening..and what is the purpose of this if there is any..

another question is when we open again the saved/published plan in PWA..the custom columns/custom view we have applied in our template is set to default..the custom columns are hidden already and the default columns is displayed instead (ex. our custom view for team members will be the same as Resource Sheet view already)..

hope you can answer my questions soon..

many thanks!

When you say template, do you mean a enterprise template or enterprise global?

Views that are set in the Enterprise Global should show.

Also, can you provide more infomration to your first query, I am unsure what
you are trying to achieve?

Can you confirm.

for the first question..i already got the answer from the microsoft forum..i'll need to uncheck the "Load Summary Resource Assignments" so that other projects a user is member of is not added in the Resource Usage view..

for the second question..

we have a customized mpp template (with custom views and column on
those views) which we used for publishing via project pro (client)..

when we save/publish a plan (a local file) for the first time in project
server via project pro the custom views/columns will be retained..

but the problems happen when we try to open again a saved/published plan
from project server via project pro (note that we are not using PWA for
saving/publishing/republishing)..the custom views are still there but the
columns there are reverted back to a default view (ex. Custom View 01 =
Resource Sheet view already)..though the values are still retained but we
have to unhide the columns from our custom view..

hope i have explained this clear..THANKS!
