outgoing messages, auto numbering

Is there any utility available which will insert
automatically a consecutive reference number on outgoing
messages ?

I have the same problem. PLEASE if you find a solution send me a letter
([email protected]) or post it here. I will really appreciate it
because I have been looking for so long for something like this!
