Outlook 200 does not close

When I close Outlook 2000 the program seems to close
down. It goes through all the normal closing processes.
However, it remains in my Task Manager as if it is
running. If I open it again I will have two outlooks
listed in the task ,anager and I will get error messages
when I try to get my email. I have to manually close it
down in the task manager. Any suggestions?
