Outlook 2000 attachment problem

Hi,

I am having difficulty with a computer here running outlook 2000. Apparently
it has been working up until today.
Any email with an attachment will not open when prompted to do so and
instead opens up the system32 folder.
The user cannot save the attachment to disk either.
I have attempted a "detect and repair" with no change.

Could anyone shed any light on this?
