I just recently started using outlook 2000. I get the start up error
that asks if you want outlook to resolve a conflict. I read the relevant
knowledge base article 256946 which says it's a conflict related to
mapi32.dll. I am hesitant to try any of the solutions until I know what
other programs on my computer might be negatively affected. They mention
eudora pro and word perfect in other articles about this problem (222323
and 253420), but no other software (I don't use either of these). I use
Netscape 4.78 for mail and Netscape 7 browser sometimes as well as IE. I
don't want other software to be affected by the solution which uses the
fixmapi utility to change the dll file. So far I just click no to the
message, and I don't appear to have any problems using outlook or
anything else. The message comes up each time at start up of the program
though. Anyone know of any problems with other software not listed in
these articles? Thanks for your help? -Sue
