Outlook 2002 - Asking for Password / ID Frequently

P

Paul

I am frequently asked to re-enter or click OK for the
password and ID for my mail server. I have clicked Save
PAssword / ID and often I find Outlook (when left running
in the background) is stuck at the prompt asking for
these things. I repeatedly click OK and it works
eventually - for a while. At other times it checks and
downloads mail without any prompts.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

The problem you are experiencing is normally due to the Registry containing incorrect information for the Protected Storage System Provider registry subkey for your account.

This might be a more efficient way.
