Outlook 2002 file attachment question?

I just started using Outlook 2002 on my home PC. I routinely send files
from the office to home. Outlook strips most of the file attachments
(*.exe, etc.) from the messages. According to information in Help, this
can't be changed. Is this true and if so, is there any way around this?

It can be changed:

Or simply change the extension to say .ex_ then when you save it to disk
change it back.
