I recently upgraded to a new Dell laptop and have
configured it to use my tried-and-true DSL connection
(including POP3 service).
I can send text messages. I can receive text messages. I
can receive messages with attachments. I can send small
attachments (<~100KB). Sending an attachment with
anything over this throws the error: 0x8000CCC0f.
Looked this up and found that this indicates "Connection
Closed". Have spoken with the ISP (Verizon). No
indication of problems on their end. Am able to send
messages using their web-based version.
Have disabled Norton anti-virus and bypassed Linksys
Firewall/Router. Still cannot send files with attachments
over 100KB (Ex. pdf's, efx's, etc.).
Old laptop running Outlook 2000 runs fine (same ISP,
connections and settings). Running out of hope. "Help me
Obi-Wan!"
