Outlook 2002 needs repeated password to login

I have a Outlook 2002 client that needs to enter her
password 4 times before outlook logs her in.

I am sure her username and password are correct. Even when
the info is entered correctly the first time. Outlook
shows a prompt that user name or password is incorrect.

How do I fix this....edit the registry?.....

I even uninstalled and reinstalled a few times...same
result.

Thanks in advance for any help.

CLose Outlook and use Windows Find to search for a file named
<profilename>.srs where <profilename> is the name of the user's Outlook
profile. When found, rename that file and restart Outlook.

....any better?
