Outlook 2002 retaining mail account passwords

Outlook 2002 does not retain my pop3 email account
passwords. Anybody know how to fix this dilemma?
Microsoft is pretty secret when looking for answers...

in the mail setup tool thier is a tick box that ask you

if you want to save the password. Put a check in the tick
box and you should be good.

Actually there are several MSKB articles about password retention problems
in Outlook. Installing Service Pack 1 for Office XP may solve your
particular problem, but if not, see if either of these articles are helpful:

For Outlook 2000 or 2002 on Win 98, NT, or 2000:
