Hiya,
I've been using dialup and Outlook for years with no
difficulties. Just got satellite (2-way) highspeed
yesterday and reconfigured all my email accounts for it,
everything was working fine (could send/receive for all)
yesterday afternoon.
Then I installed Norton Internet Security and AV 2004 (had
Norton AV before) and since then, one of my email accounts
(only one) is unable to receive (get that "connection to
server was interrupted) message. Interestingly, I can
connect with a dialup connection and get the mail from
that account just fine.
Have tried disabling Norton AV (email scan) - didn't fix
it. Tried disabling Norton Internet Security - didn't fix
it. Any other things to try? Could Norton Anti-Spam (which
came in the package) be causing the problem?
Also, when I do a manual send/receive the computer dials
one of my old dial-up connections (without asking) instead
of using the satellite, and I can't figure out how to fix
that either!
Advice welcome - this is frustrating!
Cheers,
Lelani
