I run Outlook 2002 under XP Professional on a home PC (no
Exchange Server involved). I have a mass mailing process
using Act Contact Management software that I use to send
out monthly newsletters to members of a non-profit group
(Act creates individual emails, transfers them to
Outlook's Outbox, and then Outlook does the rest). I
have noticed that sometimes messages in the Outbox never
leave Outlook even after I click on Send/Receive.
It seems to happen when I check on the progress of the
Outbox (to monitor that all the messages are being
transferred to the Outbox) and my cursor higllights one
(or more) of the outgoing emails. The heading
information for the emails in the Outbox view section
changes from italics to normal font. After that,
Send/Receive does not send those particular emails.
I have worked around this by not checking the Outbox and
letting it all finish but I wanted to check if this is
some type of problem that may have a fix. Thanks!
