Outlook 2002 sending and receiving problem

I am running Windows 98 Se and have just upgraded my
office 200o to office XP proffesional. When sending and
receiving e-mails I keep getting the following message
OX80004005 the operation failed, I am a bit of a techno
phobe so am not sure if my mail is being sent or not.
Help please. Thanks

Sorry, I did a bit of a no-brain paste I guess :-S

How long are you havng this problem already? This message also comes up when
a your mailserver is off-line. If this isn't the case check your e-mail
account properties. If they are correct try recreating your profile. To do
this go to Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles-> button Add. Make
sure you also configure to start with that profile.
