How do I set Outlook to automatically receive mail when I
open it?

Howdy Ron,

Tools/Options/Mail Setup/ CHECK Send immediately when
connected.
You can click on the Send/Receive button for more options.

Make sure you have set an automatic send/receive every XX minutes -- this
will also set Outlook to check for new mail on startup.
