Outlook 2003 and RRAS

Todd

I just recently installed Office 2003 on my home PC
running XP. I use this machine for work and access
corporate resources via MS RRAS VPN. Now that I have 2003
installed, my tunnel drops every 3-5 minutes when I have
Outlook running, any ideas? I connect to an Exchange 5.5
mail system if that makes any difference. Any help would
be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Is this the time-out set for the connection? If so it could be because of
you are using Outlook in cached Exchange mode. This signifcantly reduces
network traffic. Probably to such an extend that it doesn't have any network
traffic at all left and the time-out kicks in.

No, definitely not the timeout setting. I have the RRAS
idle timeout set at 120 minutes on the server and the
server controls all RAS policies.
