Outlook 2003 cannot connetc to the Exchange Server

Running Exchange 2k.

Have two laptops. Upgraded one to Office 2k3 pro
enterprise and the outlook tried to upgrade the existing
outlook 2002 seetings and encountered a problem with the
message " cannot connect to your default folders. THe
microsoft exchange server is unavailable. Either there
are network problems or the exchanger server is down."
This after exchange email account has been setup (name is
verified).
Any help with this issue is appreciated.

I have the same problems as do all of the MSDN Universal subscribers that I
work with. One of them even tried calling tech support at microsoft, got
transferred several times and still got no resolution.

This has been a recurring theme on the newsgroups and MS is choosing to
ignore it thus far.
