I am working on upgrading hundreds of users from Office XP to Office
2003 with a transform file. During testing, the installation goes
fine, but it crashes on first use when it trys to do some additional
installations. I get the error message "The operation failed due to
an installation problem. Restart Outlook and try again. If the
problem persists, please reinstall." I've tried restarting outlook
and keep getting the same thing, and only after a complete uninstall
and reinstall do I get a succesful installation. This package will be
deployed to hundreds of users via SMS, so a working package is
crucial.
Are there any log files that might be helpful in diagnosing the
problem?
