Outlook 2003 crashes when composing an email

I have been dealing with this for a little while now and it is getting to
me...lol. Not everytime but alot of times when I am composing an email my
whole system crashes and all I can do is power off and restart. This only
happens while writing an email. Has anyone had this happen before? What can
I do? I have all the updates (auto update).
