Outlook 2003 - Doesn't know it's online?

M

Matt Schultz

I'm having trouble with a fresh install of Office 2003 on 4 new computers.
Outlook doesn't perform an automatic send/receive when it starts, nor does
it do the every XX minutes send/receive while it's open. It's almost as if
it thinks it's offline. I've verified all the settings from my comptuer
(where it works), and they're the same. It only downloads messages when the
button is clicked.

These computers are connected to a LAN with a cable modem connection shared
thru a Netgear router. Internet Explorer and other Internet-enabled
programs work just fine.

Does anybody have any thoughts? I'm absolutely out of ideas. I've checked
the MS KB, nothing there worked. Nothing in TechNet. Nothing relevant thru
a Google search.

Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Matt
